Mirage UK. answered to a questionaire of Brainstorm: 1.Please give us your Name, Group and Location. -Our name is Mirage U.K. This name came from a Band I once was part of. All members are british. We have grown to 10 members who all do at least 1 job in the group to contribute. 5 members in Plymouth and 5 others spread all over the U.K.
2. List us the good groups in your country. -Speedy Dennis (Quartex U.K. Division), Oracle, SAE.
3. Why do you think so? Give us some information. -Quartex for high percentage of the Cracks, not always 100% though! Oracle who have Scooter as a top spreader and crack a resonable amount. SAE produce U.K.s best Demo Compacts with a sense of humour also bring out quality demos of their own.
4. Which groups do you expect to drop in the future, and why? -The U.K. has 3 catagories of Groups. 1. The Modem/Hacker Group, 2. Hot demo and spreading group, 3.Lame Spreaders/No demos. So I expect to drop any in no.3! (No names mentioned)
5. Which groups do you expect to climb in the future, and why? -The groups who will climb in 1990 will be us for starters! (Soon as we get our modem back + BBS) Oracle getting more Cracks out. The Powerlords U.K. are also a group to watch out for.
6. Do you see any obvious changes happening in U.K. scene? -Yes, I see more and more groups getting modems to trade with. Just to give them the edge on other contacts, some will get the faster modems to beat any U.K. group using a 9600.
7. Who do you see as top U.K. Coder? -Most groups have an average Coder in. but there are only about 4 good top-class coders in the U.K. And none are in a group. They prefer to code only for a favour to the right crews.
8. What is your favourite U.K. demo at the moment? -At the moment? None!! Where are all the good Coders? What are they doing? I have not seen a good demo anywhere in the last couple of months.
9. Do you want to say something? -Yes, we are possibly doing a CO-OP with a Top Group abroad, but we also wish to contact Mirage int.
