Princeps/Desaster Area
Everybodey knows that: You wait a long time for the next sending of a swap-partner and then (after several light years) you get it! Normally these people (I'm a specialist in such cases) write : "Sorry for this ultramegagalactic long delay, but ...
a) I was on the toilet (quite a good one!) b) my computer crashed (lame!) c) you know, school is hard (yes, it is...) d) I ran out of money/disks etc. (no comment) e) All my other contacts were ill/in holidays/... (this is a lamer)
But the best excuse for a several-week-delay was written by a swiss fellow once in the last few months... A good friend of mine in Switzerland (who's still a fanatic C64 user) wrote me about this excuse of a contact of his. This unknown user wrote: "Sorry blablablabla (...) bla, but after an Icehockey match in Zuerich between the EHC Kloten and the ZSC (which my favourite team EHCK won), I wanted to go home. But I was stopped by a few ZSC fans. First they ripped off my EHCK-T-shirt and burnt it (!), then they attacked me with their fists and knives. I spent one week in the hospital!"
