Rockers And Ballades - SCORPIONS
This a collection of the best Scorpions songs. The problem of this album is, that if you listen to it too often you get sick of the most songs. But it is good for 2 months or so. It depends how often you listen to sounds a week. This doesn't mean, that this album is bad. It features some good songs. Best songs : Black Out, Still Loving You
Killing is my business - MEGADETH
Another mindblaster from Megadeth. First song starts with some organ sound. You feel like you're sitting in a church. Then a great noise fades in and gets louder and louder... till a guitar solo breaks the noise. All songs have the typical Megadeth style. Heavy sound and lyrics. Pump up the volume! Best songs : Loved To Deth, Rattlehead
Force Majeure - DORO + WARLOCK
The first time in this test, that a woman sings the lead vocal. A bit of a change, if a woman sings. The songs are also not bad. Not manu guitar solos and the song text repeats often, but you just have to hear one two songs to say if you like it. Remark (song: 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' was not written by Doro. Best songs : A Whiter Shade Of Pale, World Gone Wild
If You Want Blood - AC/DC
Already tested in issue 3 (I think so). The only live album from AC/CD. Really great sounds, solos and the live atmosphere make this album to a : 'I-MUST-HAVE-IT-ALBUM' If you don't have this record. SHAME ON YOU and buy it immediately. The album was released in 1978. So it's not sure, if your local record-shop stores this record. Best songs : Let There Be Rock, The Jack.
Iron Maiden - IRON MAIDEN
The first Iron Maiden album (I think so!). Released in 1980. At this moment the style is not as it is at the moment. And this means better. Paul Di'Anno is singing this album. I think his voice is better than the one from Bruce Dickinson. Some nice tunes make this album worth to buy. Best songs : Charlotte The Harlot, Iron Maiden.
Ride The Lightning - METALLICA
Released in 1984. A loud and heavy Metallica album. Style changed a bit since the last album. That means more softer beginnings of the songs. This gives the album the last touch it needs. Great guitar solos as always. Features all you need... A Metallica album. Enjoy... Best songs : Creeping Death, The Call Of Ktulu
Peace sells, but who's buying ? - MEGADETH
Do you know the Follow me demo from RSI, if yes, then you also know what the cover of this album does look like. As always heavy music and lyrics are the characteristics of this album. If you listen to it very loud, then your head feels like it'll explode soon. Don't miss it. Released in 1986. Best songs : Bad Omen, Wake Up Dead.
I hope you have enjoyed this little tests. And maybe got some inspirations what to buy now.
