The name of the song could be wrong , 'cause I only have a copy on type. (It seems to be impossible to get the record in the shops.) -BEYOND ON DOOP-(????? very big questionmark!) The sound of motors running and a simple drum introduce you to the next song.And , as you expected it , RRRRIIIIIDDDEEEE ! Just incedible , this voice. First in an average speed , it changes after an "ATTACK" from Steele to high speed and I interpreted this song a bit like god ol' Mad Max. As I said before I haven't the record , so I haven't got the cover and so it's quite difficult to understand everything.(Even though the singer is good to understand.)A real "Autobahn" song.(But if everybody would listen to it when driving there would be a biiiiig car crashing....) -GOD IS DEAD- is quite melodic.After starting a bit rough it changes speed to let the vocals come out stronger.After this comes again another , faster part and this changing goes on.As I understood it , god is dead and the devil walks over the earth.That's no wonder after holocaust.....nice song. -THERMONUCLEAR WARRIOR- (?) here again the hammering drums give the song it's face , while the guitars , in a very heavy way strenghten the rhytm.The text ? I'm not really sure , but it could deal with some dictator who has ideas about the rest of the human race."Crush , kill ,destroy , I will not tolerate imperfection...."but that's not soooo important , is it ? A very powerful song , with a (as allways) superb voice. That's all and finally I can say that this record is a real must for metal friends.Great text , great music and great shouter make this group simply fantastic.At first one may wonder why there's always a little echo in Peter Steeles voice and why he shouts so much when he's able to sing in a "normal" way.But this question is easy answered if you look at the text.A world after a nuclear war (may it never happen !) isn't desribed with smooth words and rock music.It's hard , cruel and dark face has to be shown in a ugly , straight way.Things are called by it's name and if one doesn't like the vocals he mustn't listen to the text and he will still enjoy this masterpiece of heavy metal. CARNIVORE -same- IS THE PURE POWER !!!
Please excuse me for writing so much about the texts , but I wanted to give you an impression how the music sounds , and when you read the lines and my little sound quotationes you will get one.(I hope)
