From German Mags
by Yankee

There were some interesting articels in German Newspapers in the last few weeks. The first one was an article in "Der Spiegel". It was about Copy-Parties in the GDR (German Democratic Republic). They said that there were some parties for example in East-Berlin, organized by some guys from Western-Germany. In the GDR it isn't forbidden to copy stuff, so many guys went from the West went to this parties. They also wrote that Supreme (Group around Shut/Berlin) now works together with 4 guys from East-Berlin. This article was really interesting. So an other one I got was, too. It was about Calling-Cards. They wrote that some guys from Sweden were caught by the police, because they used Credit-Cards for buying Computers, Modems and other stuff like this. At the end of February they will have to go to court. The companies like Visa and American Express told that they pay everything by themselves, if someone uses a Card, which doesn't belong to him. They don't tell anything about this to the owner of the card, because they are frightened that the owners give them their cards back. They also told that they will change all numbers of their cards, but who in the scene cares, there are more than 300 million cards, and there is always a chance to find out a new number.
