BAD - A Papermagazine
by Chester of Brainstorm

'BAD' is the papermagazine from Alcatraz. KID ICARUS/ALCATRAZ is the producer, editor and publisher of this mag, and this mag has got one of the best paperquality and lay-out I ever saw! Some (3 or 4) DIN A4 pages are written at the front and the back side of the sheet. Through the whole mag there are scanned cartoons and comixes, perhaps that's a little bit difficult to survey, but anyway they are absolutely funny. For the first 2 issues Kid Icarus was in BABYGANG. At this time he had a lot of informations about techno - pop - music (perhaps too much?) and many charts, too. For example in the first issue there were about 7 diverent charts! There were too much C-64 articles, and too many articles were written in french (no one can understand this language, but the french guys).

For the 3rd issue Kid Icarus joined Alcatraz, and many things changed... There are some Swiss-charts, and a lot of interviews with the contacts of Kid Icarus. The most is now written in english. Many people from the scene gave Kid Icarus their news. Now you can say, it's a really Amigamag, there aren't much C-64 articles anymore... The quality is still the same!

This papermagazine is the one with the best lay-out and paperquality, I ever saw (I know, I'm going to repeat myself). BAD is published with a MAC-II and so, you can really see the result: creme de la creme (what a pity, a french sentence!) - Some articles could be better! More variation between the articles would be better, too. And there are too much spelling-errors, especially in the 3rd issue. But overall it's a really good production from our french neighbours!
